Kufsteinerland

Stefan Pühringer

Article from Stefan Pühringer

Stefan is a "Zuagroaster", i.e. not a native. Born and raised in Gmunden in Salzkammergut (the lake district near Salzburg), he spent a long time rooted to the district Kitzbühel, but now lives in the Tyrolean Alps. Stefan feels particularly at home in Kufsteinerland, because there are many lakes in the region which remind him of the lake district where he grew up. He is also fascinated by life in the town of Kufstein as well as on the alpine farms in the wider district. In winter, he loves to hit the piste. He is a passionate cook and particularly enjoys preparing traditional recipes with locally-sourced products. Stefan is convinced that alpine nature is a source of health and the diverse cultural landscape around the town of Kufstein - a mix of tradition and high culture - has made a profound impression on him. Particularly the region's unique charm.
